The Rochdale (England) Times

The public of Rochdale and vicinity are indebted to the Times for the excellent report of the opening of the new Christian Science church in Castlemere street. In calling attention to the testimonies of healing given on that occasion, you kindly said, "The sincerity of the people who gave their testimony on Saturday, cannot be doubted. They believe that they have been healed through the medium of Christian Science."

This editorial tribute to the sincerity and belief of Christian Scientists is a welcome sign of our times. It is indicative of the growing tendency to respect a movement which is seen to be doing good wherever it goes. Since Christian Science has already spread over the globe, it augurs well for that happier day when "all men's good" shall be "each man's rule." In this spirit all your readers will agree with you that the need for controversy is avoided.
