I want to express my appreciation of the many helpful...
I want to express my appreciation of the many helpful testimonies which I am permitted to read in the Sentinel. In the search for a surer basis for practical Christian living I came to Christian Science, and it was not long before I learned that I had found a sure guide. I was in comparatively good health, and did not at first think much of physical healing, but I suddenly found that my eyes were healed of a sense of defective vision through the reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Since that time, several years ago, I have had many convincingly clear demonstrations of God's allness. An acute attack of rheumatism was cured in a few days; a live nerve was extracted from a tooth without pain; at one time a severe cold was vanquished quickly; and a bad eruption, said to have been caused by poison oak, was routed in the same manner. Many minor ills, which in the old thought would have been nursed and made much of, have been speedily put out of consciousness.
Best of all, however, is the daily exercise of right thinking. Christian Science is teaching me to think in a more orderly and harmonious way, and I am grateful beyond expression for such practical teaching, which explains the Christ-method of healing. That I may do my share in bringing this truth to others, is my daily prayer.
Lillian N. Lange, Portland, Ore.
