My gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me through the knowledge of God and of Christian Science, can never be expressed in words. This truth came to me through a friend of my wife, whose daughter had been cured of stomach and bowel troubles from which she had suffered a great many years. Before I found Christian Science, I suffered not alone from one disease, but from many,—heart trouble, rheumatism, sleepless nights, nervousness, also pain in my left side, which had given me considerable trouble for fifteen years. Besides all these ills, I drank whisky and chewed tobacco for twenty-five years, being a slave to both. I tried almost everything that one could think of to stop these habits, but could not do so. I consulted with a Christian Science practitioner and took treatment, and in three weeks I was healed—a well man!

I give this testimony in the earnest hope that some one who reads it may be encouraged to seek help from Christian Science, and that he too may be able to say, "Whereas I was blind, now I see." I am thankful to God for the teachings of Mrs. Eddy; they have lifted me out of darkness and have shown me the light.
