Christian Science has not only healed me of sickness, but I have found it a "very present help in trouble." Some time ago I had to pass through a trial which brought disappointment, financial loss, and surrender of material possessions, and while I tried to hold steadfastly to the truth, there were times when I would become deeply depressed. One morning, when under a heavy cloud and everything seemed dark, I took up the Bible and Science and Health with the assurance that I would find relief. I had been reading only a short time when a neighbor, a Christian Scientist, living in the apartment above me, but who was unconscious of my condition, played on her piano that beautiful hymn from our Hymnal which begins, "In heavenly love abiding;" but it was these words which came to me as a direct message:—

Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;
Bright skies will soon be o'er me,
Where darkest clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure,
My path in life is free;
My Father has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.
