I would like to tell a few of my experiences in what Christian Science has done for me. When I first heard of it, I attended the services a few times and then borrowed a copy of Science and Health. During the reading of that book I lost the habit of smoking, which previously I had been trying to give up myself. About three months later I asked for treatment for very severe pains in the back which had been troubling me for some time, and was healed in one week. A fortnight later I left off a body-belt which the doctor had ordered me to wear fifteen months before. About five months later I had inflammation in one of my eyes for five weeks, during which time it seemed to get worse, and finding that I could not overcome it myself, and having a very important engagement to attend a week later, I asked for treatment from a Christian Science practitioner, and was completely healed before the time for the engagement arrived.

For these healings and for many other blessings obtained through the knowledge of Truth, I am very grateful, and for the new understanding of the Bible gained through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" I cannot express my gratitude. My thanks are due to all who have so kindly helped me to attain to this understanding, and also for the literature, which is such a great help to me. Most of all, I am grateful to God, who gave humanity in Mrs. Eddy so wise and practical a Leader.
