In giving this testimony I wish to express my gratitude for the healing which I experienced through Christian Science half a year ago. I became afflicted with poisoning in one finger, and suffered great pain. On a former kindred occasion I had the finger lanced by a physician, but as this had caused me much suffering, I was afraid to go to him again. I tried all kinds of remedies, but to no avail, as the finger grew worse.

I had before this heard of Christian Science, and had frequently read Der Herold der Christian Science, so I decided to apply to a practitioner for help. The pain in the finger disappeared after the first treatment, though when I went to bed it set in again; but this was perhaps because I had expected this result. Still I kept on reading Der Herold and went to see the practitioner twice more, and I was healed of the trouble in about a week's time. Soon after, an abscess formed in my mouth, and my face was badly swollen. I again applied to the practitioner, and was healed of the trouble in a few days, whereas formerly I had struggled with an affliction of the same kind for weeks. For these instances of healing I am deeply grateful.
