Realizing how much I owe to Christian Science, I feel that...

Realizing how much I owe to Christian Science, I feel that the least I can do is to acknowledge publicly the benefits received, in the hope that my experience may help some one else. Previous to taking treatment in 1909. I had been a sufferer for years, two operations leaving me with fresh ailments and the prospect of another operation in the near future, the good result of which was doubtful. Christian Science had been brought to my notice some time previously, and a kind friend offered to treat me. So, as conditions seemed desperate, both for myself and husband, we decided to try it. From the first we both realized that this was the truth which sets men free. It has never failed us, and we know it never will so long as we follow it faithfully.

My healing was rapid and perfect, and though the doctor had put me on a very restricted diet, the moment I discarded the medicine he had prescribed and determined to know but one power, and that the ever-present power of infinite Love, I was able to eat whatever was on the table without any ill effects. My friends say I am a marvel. I have gained in weight and enjoy perfect health. I have also been enabled to lay aside glasses, after being obliged to wear them for nearly thirty years, and I am able to do as well without them as when I wore them. What a help Christian Science is in the daily life, only those who have tried it can tell. More important than the physical healing is the spiritual quickening Truth has brought me, the knowledge that God, our Father-Mother, is Love, infinite, perfect, eternal, unchanging Love. My husband has been healed of catarrh, lung trouble, and bronchitis, and from being a weak, ailing man, unable to do exacting work, he is now strong, enjoys perfect health, and has never lost a day through sickness since taking up Christian Science. He is gaining in weight, and his chest has expanded considerably during the last winter and spring, the added breadth being noticed by many.

We have recently had a beautiful demonstration of divine Love as the true source of supply, when every outlook to mortal sense was dark and financial difficulties pressed heavily. It seemed impossible to obtain steady work here, and my husband had been obliged to go away on survey trips. One day, during his last trip, I was unexpectedly offered a steady position for him, which not only meant work at home, but opened up possibilities of advance and a good position. Not only was the offer made, but the position was held open until his return, which was providentially arranged to fit in perfectly. It was all so wonderful that it seemed like a voice saying, "Be still, and know that I am God." There was nothing to do but be still, and realize that "the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."
