Christian Science has done so much for me that I wish...

Christian Science has done so much for me that I wish to tell of it, hoping thereby to encourage others who are in sickness and sorrow to study Science and Health and be made free. Until I was healed through the truth, in January, 1907, I had never known what it was to be free from pain, and for many years I had seldom been without medicine. I was operated on for appendicitis, an abnormal growth, and other troubles, and exhausted the skill of fifteen kind physicians. I continued to grow worse, and felt that I had not long to stay in this world. This is where Christian Science found me, and it has brought me out of darkness and gloom, out of sickness and sorrow, into God's marvelous light. I have proven that to know God is eternal life, and I am deeply grateful for the better understanding of God which I have gained through the study of this great truth.

I never had better health than at present, and I would like to add that through the study of Science and Health I have been enabled to lay aside glasses, after having used them for twenty years for defective vision, with near-sightedness. This is a proof to me that Christian Science is the truth which Jesus said would make us free. The physical healing which I have received has been great, but the spiritual uplifting is even greater, and I can truly say that the five years which I have spent in Christian Science are the happiest years of my life, and I should not care to live without a knowledge of this truth. I feel grateful to every one who has in any way helped me in my journey from sense to Soul, and I am also grateful that there was one pure enough to voice this truth to a hungering world.
