I gladly take this opportunity to testify to the help which I have obtained through Christian Science. Reared in a church-going family, I was always taught the necessity for looking after my spiritual needs, and the influence of the church on my life was always for good. When, however, I became old enough to think for myself, I found that I was beginning to doubt, and this doubt grew until I became indifferent. Finally Christian Science was brought to my notice through friends. It appealed to me, though not strongly at first. I bought a copy of Science and Health, and have been studying it for the past five years. Through this study I have been led to read the Bible, and I have been lifted out of a condition of doubt and indifference by learning to read the Scriptures understandingly. I have also learned to trust God. I have learned something of the meaning of the "grain of mustard seed" kind of faith.

Though Christian Science I have dared to undertake in my work what I should have been afraid to try before. I have learned somewhat of its wonderful power, and it has never failed me. The comforting consciousness of the reality of an ever-present help in time of need is of more value to me than I can express. Numerous physical ills have been overcome in my experience under Christian Science treatment. I gave up the use of tobacco three and a half years ago, after having smoked excessively for twenty-five years. I had given it up through will-power, but the desire for it never for a moment left me and I would inevitably drift back to smoking. After a few treatments in Christian Science, however, the desire left me and I have learned absolutely that there was no real pleasure in it.

I have much for which to be thankful and am sincerely grateful for the light and help which have come to me through Christian Science.
