I am indeed thankful that it was possible for the truth...

I am indeed thankful that it was possible for the truth as revealed in Christian Science to reach my case. For more than fifteen years I was a helpless, despairing invalid, with a supposedly incurable organic disease which made it impossible for me to enjoy life or to go about like other people. I used to wonder how it would seem to be well and be happy. I consulted the best physicians and sought the aid of higher altitudes and warmer climates, but without benefit. Each year I was becoming weaker and more wasted, until it seemed as if I had only a short while to live. This was over two years ago.

In May, 1910, I went to a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and have been restored to perfect health. How can I be thankful enough to God for Christian Science, and to Mrs. Eddy for imparting the revelation of divine Life, Truth, and Love to suffering humanity through "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This manifestation of divine Mind is indeed able to deliver us from the untold bondage of material sense and to lift us up into the realization of everlasting sunshine, a satisfying knowledge of the Principle of all being. Before this, earthly joy fades in the distance. To know, no matter what the material conditions may be, and amid all possible changes of human life, that our anchor is sure and steadfast, is indeed a blessing. Divine Love "never faileth." In this consciousness is safe abiding "from every thought that giveth fear," as we read in our Hymnal.
