Jesus proved by a perfect life, in doing many wonderful works, man's at-one-ment with the Father. Seeing humanity clinging to his personality instead of receiving the divine ideal which he taught and represented, he said, speaking of the human, "I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; ... Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth." Mrs. Eddy, in 1866, perceived this Spirit of truth, the idea of the fatherhood and motherhood of God, and named it Christian Science. This ideal Christ has come, as aforetime, "with healing in his wings," healing the sick and sorrowing as well as redeeming the sinner.
