We are thankful to God for the good which has come...

We are thankful to God for the good which has come to us through Christian Science. In March, 1910, our boy was taken ill with a disease of the leg, which returned every year—each time in an aggravated form—and we had to secure medical advice. Last year the disease manifested itself very severely, the leg being very much swollen and discolored. The abdomen too was swollen and discolored, and the child suffered terribly. None of the remedies applied brought relief, and we were at our wits' end.

I then went to see a Christian Science practitioner, and asked for treatment for the boy. After a week's treatment the swelling and pain abated and in a few weeks had disappeared entirely. A very severe internal trouble which the boy had had since childhood, and for which we tried various physicians and all kinds of remedies without success, disappeared after this treatment, and has not returned since. Through Christian Science we have also gained a better understanding of the Holy Scripture, and our gratitude goes out to that brave woman, Mrs. Eddy, who has rediscovered and taught again this glorious truth.
