If I should be asked what was the greatest thing that...
If I should be asked what was the greatest thing that had ever come into my life, I should gladly and unhesitatingly reply, Christian Science. It is with deepest gratitude, therefore, that I wish to tell what God has done and is doing for me through this healing truth. I was a nervous wreck, and suffering in various ways, till at last I gave up all hope of ever getting well, as I had been treated by the best doctors, with only temporary relief.
At last I decided to try Christian Science. I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, which had been given me by friends, and with their help was so relieved that in a short time I was able to sit up a part of the day. I soon called on a practitioner, who gave me treatment for five weeks; but I began to get better from the very first. My healing came as I gradually awoke to the understanding of God's ever-present help. I shall never forget the words of the dear lady who treated me, when I questioned her as to the certainty of all pain and sickness being taken away. She said that "with God all things are possible."
Since the light of divine Science has come into my life, I can truly say, as did the blind man, "One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see." I hope this may help some sufferer to find the way to healing, for the Bible plainly teaches that "God is no respecter of persons." What He does for one He will do for all, and He is able to heal us both mentally and physically. I would say to any one who may be longing for help, to lose no time, but call upon God, who is willing and ready to bless us whenever we are willing to accept the promises, for God is Love.
