THE ONENESS OF PRINCIPLE

The study and practice of Christian Science unfolds to its students the reality of good and goodness and the consequent unreality of evil and its phenomena; that is to say, as the true sense of good increases, the belief in evil becomes more and more anomalous, unlawful, baseless, unreal.

The next admission of candidates will be May 31, 1912.
It was in the fall of 1904 that I first attended a Christian Science meeting, going as a guide to my mother, who is a Scientist and who was then visiting me.
At the time when I turned to Christian Science I was in a pitiful condition.
In Psalms we read, "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men"! One of God's most wonderful gifts to me was a direct answer to prayer, which placed me beyond the possibility of a doubt that Christian Science is the truth.
I have been wonderfully healed through Christian Science, of one so-called incurable disease, and of mental trouble which was thought to be hereditary.
The gratitude one feels for the countless blessings received in Christian Science can never be expressed in words, but it is with the hope of helping some sufferer who may be reached through the Sentinel that I give my testimony.
A sense of deep gratitude to God, also to the Founder of Christian Science, impels me to give my mite for the truth.
I am very happy to say that I was cured of a stomach disorder which had troubled me for years, also of nervous exhaustion from which I had suffered at different times.
Christian Science has done so much for me that words are inadequate to express the gratitude I feel for all the blessings I have received through its teachings.
Although I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, I feel that I must tell how much I have been benefited, mentally, morally, and in my business life, through the study of our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
It is with a constantly recurring sense of thankfulness for all the blessings I have received through the teachings of Christian Science, that I send this brief account of an experience which in itself is sufficient to prove what can be accomplished by following the teachings of our revered Leader as given in that wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
It is with the sincerest gratitude that I acknowledge the help which I have experienced through the teachings of Christian Science at a time when I was altogether weary of life.
In the winter of 1909-10, while in extreme pain prior to the birth of a child, a Christian Science practitioner was called in.
I have long received freely the benefits of Christian Science without having voiced a word of gratitude, but I am indeed grateful, and grow more so as I understand better the meaning of the word.
