A sense of deep gratitude impels me to tell of the benefits...
A sense of deep gratitude impels me to tell of the benefits derived from the study of Christian Science. I was seriously affected with heart trouble and felt very weak. A physician diagnosed the case, but I had no confidence in medical aid. My husband having heard of Christian Science, we read Der Herold der Christian Science assiduously, and it became clear to us that "all things are possible with God." He then wrote to a Christian Science practitioner, asking her to take up treatment for me. This she did at once, and with a couple of absent treatments I experienced help. I felt, indeed, like another being, and was able to perform my household duties.
It is now possible for me to overcome difficulties of any kind more readily than in former times, and I do not like to think of what might have happened if we had not known of Christian Science. For all the blessings which we have experienced we are unspeakably grateful to God, and we also thank our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has shown us the way in divine Love. We now look into the future with a sense of great trust, knowing that God, good, is the only power.
Frau Alwine Michaelis, Kremmen i. d. Mark, Germany.
