I am deeply grateful for Christian Science
I am deeply grateful for Christian Science. It is now two years and a half since I started the study of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Christian Science found me in great physical distress and pain, and saved me from undergoing a surgical operation. For over fourteen years I had suffered from a bowel difficulty, for which I had consulted several well-known physicians and surgeons, and they were agreed that the most they could do was to use alleviating measures. I was always under medical treatment, and obliged to use many material remedies. I also suffered from a chronic heart weakness and dropsical swelling, besides being subject to rheumatism with fever, also bronchitis. When I first heard of Christian Science and our revered Leader, I had three weeks' treatment from a practitioner, with the result that the discharge peculiar to my bowel trouble ceased from the first treatment.
Christian Science has healed me of all these ills, and instead of a sad outlook on life, I rejoice greatly in fine health, all these ailments having vanished before the light of Truth. The understanding of God and man in His likeness is a constant help. For the spiritual satisfaction and uplift gained I am more grateful than words can express. I have had class instruction, and desire to demonstrate the great illumination it has brought me. My daily prayer is for more spirituality and a better understanding of God and His creation.
