The passing away of an eminent New York surgeon from...
The passing away of an eminent New York surgeon from a disease which I am told began as mine did, impels me to express gratitude for my own healing in Christian Science. I suffered for years from a fistula my neck that came from a cyst with which I am told I was born, and which had been removed. I told a friend who is a Christian Scientist that I was discouraged, as nothing had helped me to my knowledge in any way, and my suffering had continued so long that I had about given up hope of cure. I then learned how to be treated by Christian Science. In two or three days, after one treatment, the fistula was entirely healed up, and it has not since troubled me. This was in November, 1905.
Just previous to this experience my friend had cured me in one treatment, after a terrible siege of seven months with carbuncles. In a single night I was freed from the severe pain, and all scars on my face, from many deep cuts made by the doctor, were likewise removed. This was almost marvelous to me, as the doctor was about to perform a very serious operation behind my ear. A few years later I was troubled with boils and was again compelled to turn to Christian Science. Once more I was healed in one night. On each occasion, when treated, my illness seemed to be at its worst. I am thankful to Christian Science for the healing, and for my very excellent health ever since.
