While studying the Lesson-Sermon this morning, such a feeling of gratitude came to me that I was impelled to give expression to my heartfelt thanks to God for this glorious awakening, and to Mrs. Eddy for her brave fight against such seeming odds, with the consequent result that she has been able to point the way to eternal harmony to all who care to accept it. Even a slight understanding of this Science shows the hopelessness of the puny efforts of mortal man to evolve order out of the chaos of his own making. I have stood on the hills and been in the valleys many times since Christian Science was first presented to me, over a year ago, but I am thankful to say that my descent into the valleys becomes less frequent and my stay much shorter.

Among the many things for which I am grateful is the gradual but certain disappearance of a constantly recurring sense of terrible depression and weakness, which medicine had never been able to cure. I also wish to thank the many kind Scientists who have helped me so patiently and explained entirely to my satisfaction any seeming difficulties.
