In answer to "M," as is well known, very divergent views concerning baptism and the holy communion are held in the different Christian churches, and even by members of the same church. The Christian Science view of these important matters probably differs from that entertained by "M," Some of us who are now Christian Scientists were formerly zealous, well-instructed members and regular communicants of the Scottish Episcopal church and of the Church of England. We find that our new understanding of the teachings of our Lord has shown us how to live better lives than we knew how to live before, has given us a much firmer grasp on heavenly things, and enabled us in some measure to obey the Master's commandment, "Heal the sick."
