No comparison of method or value is intended, and none exists between the Bible and the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mrs. Eddy. Comparison of the two books, however, for the fair and studious reading of each in the light of the other, has resulted to many thousands in a triumphant awakening of consciousness to the practical presence of the ever-living and omnipotent God, good. This is the evidence that Christian Science "garbles" no word of Scripture and "abrogates" no doctrine thereof—the sick find themselves healed, almost the dead are raised up, and the poor find that the gospel of victory has been preached to them.

Christian Science does not regard the love of God as any passing or uncertain quantity, nor that it has any less effectual presence or power in the world today than it had two thousand years ago; that His effectual help is equally present in time of trouble, and upon the same terms this day with any day—this age with any age; it expects them "that believe" on Christ Jesus to do the "works" that he did, and it shows them how to do it.
