It is with deep gratitude for Christian Science that I tell...
It is with deep gratitude for Christian Science that I tell of the healing of our little girl, aged twenty months. She seemed a dangerously sick child. She had high fever, was not able to eat anything, and had large lumps on the jaw and neck. She lay very still in her father's arms, and he became frightened and said that something must be done. So we sent for a practitioner, and in less than ten minutes after her arrival baby was resting quietly, without a sign of fever or suffering, and neither returned. Again, about a month later, while playing on a high porch she fell, striking her head on a nail. A young lady who heard the child cry ran out, but when she went to pick her up she found the nail had penetrated the forehead so deeply that considerable effort was necessary to get it out. We called the same practitioner as before, and all evidence of the injury was quickly destroyed. Many of the neighbors saw the child fall, and when they came to inquire how she was, and saw her playing happily, they were astounded. She has never taken any medicine.
These are only two instances of help out of many which we have received in our home. We have found, thanks to Mrs. Eddy, the ever-present help. How glorious is the Bible, when understood and taught aright.
Mrs. Nina M. Ball, Alpena, Mich.
