I am glad to be able to add my testimony to those of the many who have been healed and blessed by Christian Science. I was for several months afflicted with an illness which was gradually getting worse, so that I was compelled to lie down a great deal of the time. I could not stand the least exertion and was not able to walk any distance at all. I had medical attendance from the first, but got no help. I became very much discouraged over my condition, as I had a large family to work for and was able to do very little.
My husband then called in a Christian Science practitioner, who talked very kindly to us and thus gained our confidence, for we knew almost nothing of Christian Science. My husband also bought a copy of Science and Health, which we began to read and study, with the result that in two weeks I was much improved. I received a few treatments, and was soon quite well and strong,—able to walk a long distance and attend to my household duties without the least discomfort or fatigue.
It is now one year since I took treatment, and I have had no return of the trouble. My husband has also received many benefits through Christian Science. I am very thankful to God, also to Mrs. Eddy, for what this truth has done for me.
