It is about nine years since I came into Christian Science. At that time I was attending the Sunday services and the testimonial meetings with other members of the family, and was a slave to tobacco and strong drink. After attending these meetings six times, the tobacco and liquor habits were destroyed. This is only one of the many proofs of the power of Truth that we have had. I wish to speak of another demonstration which I have had recently, wish an attack of throat trouble, which was overcome with the understanding of this passage from Science and Health (p. 251), "Divine Mind makes perfect, acts upon the so-called human mind through truth, leads the human mind to relinquish all error, to find the divine Mind to be the only Mind, and the healer of sin, disease, death." I am indeed thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy, for my deliverance from the bondage of sin and sickness.
