In March, 1907, I was healed by Christian Science treatment, almost instantaneously, of tubercular disease, which had first resulted from a severe cold, accompanying a very bad case of alcoholic poisoning and two attacks of acute lung trouble. The attending physician, and an able specialist who had been called in for a consultation, came to the conclusion that I had the disease mentioned above, and that it would terminate fatally in a very short time, as I was very low and the case was running a rapid course. My wife previous to our marriage had been a trained nurse, and she knew that everything possible had been done for me in a medical way. She believed in Christian Science, and spoke of it to me, and although I knew nothing about it, I readily consented to have a practitioner come to our home and give me treatment. She came, and I was healed, through the understanding of the truth, not only of the disease, but morally and spiritually as well. Today I am a strong and healthy man. Nor is this all that God's power has done in my home.
