After more than eighteen years' study of our dear Leader's works, with daily proof of the power of Truth over error, we realize that we have but touched the hem of the garment, and eagerly press forward with renewed desire to obey the precepts laid down in our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. For the benefit of others who are on the way, I gladly stand a witness to the healing of many forms of disease through Christian Science.

A year ago last July my husband passed unharmed through what seemed to be "the valley of the shadow of death." Through the demonstration of the truth he was delivered from each symptom that appeared, and instead of weeks of convalescence he regained in a few days the flesh and strength lost in several weeks, together with a deeper insight into the truth, which enabled him to do the very things about his business which were said to have made him sick, and to do more office work than ever before, continuously from that time until now. Briefly would I mention my own experience in 1901, when to sense conditions were most unfavorable. With my first three children I had a doctor, and an anesthetic was used. Quite a contrast to these was the birth of my last child under Christian Science treatment, this experience being a practically painless one, devoid of evil forebodings and full of peace; and the days which followed were marked by unusual health and strength.

Only by close study and faithful practice of the teaching and rules laid down in our Leader's writings could these things have been done, for it requires understanding to handle a matter wisely, that we may find good. For this we honor her who by noble example leads the way, and to her we render heartfelt thanks for providing what is needful for our advancement, our periodicals; the lectures; the Lesson-Sermons; and we are grateful for every means of spreading this gospel of peace on earth and good will to men.—Mary S.
