For thirty years I suffered with a stomach and bowel...
For thirty years I suffered with a stomach and bowel disorder, with all its attendant ills, such as headaches, indigestion, etc. I had consulted many doctors and tried all kinds of cures, but I only grew more miserable, and if at that time I had not stood on a positive religious basis I would myself have put an end to my tortures. While in this pitiful condition, in the spring of 1907, a near relative from America came to see me, and made me acquainted with the healing efficacy of Christian Science, which she herself had tried. By reason of my studies in natural science. I opposed it strongly in the beginning, although I could not deny the logic of the fundamental thought which pervades Christian Science.
Finally I applied to a Christian Science practitioner here in Dresden and asked for treatment. The valuable and convincing information which I received removed my doubts and scruples, and after a few weeks the stomach trouble completely left me, and the rigid diet, without which I had believed I could not exist, became needless. From this time forward I ate and drank everything I wished. Filled with confidence and zeal, I now made rapid strides toward the understanding of this glorious Science, and grew stronger all the time, I saw thereby the all-powerful and all-loving ministry of Truth for him who trusts God entirely. Thus the other manifestations of disease were soon overcome, and my feeling of gratitude found but one expression: "Lord, I am not worthy of Thy grace." Many troubles in my family, as well as financial difficulties, were solved in the same seemingly wonderful way.
I give this testimony with a heart full of gratitude, and would be pleased to furnish any further information desired.—Benno Nehab, Dresden, Germany.
