Since Father Time stands still, and heaven is here,
And all eternity is ours by gift,
Should we not learn from God — yes, know, indeed,
That every cloud contains a friendly rift?
Thy precepts ripen into love; thy friends
Are legion, and the radiant morning sun
Dissolves the seeming mists of yesternight.
Thy foes stand not against thee — no, not one!
