I should like to tell the readers of the Sentinel of the many great benefits I have received since coming into the understanding of Christian Science. When I first heard of it, I was afflicted with serious heart trouble, and I could not lie down nor even sit down with comfort. One of my husband's friends is a Christian Scientist, and he advised him to have me treated in Christian Science. I was taken to a practitioner, and was healed in less than twenty-four hours. My husband was also healed of the liquor habit in its worst form. My home and happiness had been wrecked from this habit, but now all is so different. I have seen many forms of disease healed in our family. Our little adopted girl was healed of a dreadful eruptive disease in its worst form. It affected the whole body, but in four days from the time we asked for absent treatment from a practitioner, the sores began to heal, her appetite returned, and the fever left her.

I have been greatly uplifted since the last demonstration of the truth that was made for me. I had suffered from chills and fever, and worked most earnestly for myself for a week, but seemed only to grow worse. My husband called in a Christian Science practitioner, who worked faithfully for me, and in a short time the demonstration was made. I awoke one morning to find all symptoms gone. I dressed myself and went about my work, praising God for His goodness, and with gratitude to our dear Leader for the blessings which have been bestowed on me. I have neither taken nor desired medicine for eight years, nor has any member of my family used medicine in that time. Even in the case of a badly injured arm Christian Science was found sufficient for healing it. I cannot tell half the good that Christian Science has done for me, and I thank Mrs. Eddy for Science and Health,—for the light which it brings to all the human family. I feel that God is always near me, and thank Him for bestowing that great wisdom on our dear Leader which enabled her to show us the truth.
