I came into Christian Science nine months ago, seeking relief from worry and mental depression caused by fear. The year before I had almost lost my little boy, who lay at the point of death for weeks with an extremely severe case of abdominal trouble, and the dread of his having another attack, as I was told it was probable that he would, never left me. Since I have been in Christian Science I have found more than I had ever hoped for; there is no discordant condition which the truth will not overcome. In my own case mental, physical, and financial troubles are being overcome, and I know they will be more and more as I gain in the understanding of divine Principle, and learn how to think rightly and consequently do rightly at every point.
I am very grateful that I have been led to Christian Science; in other words, to God, because in the old thought I had grave doubts as to the truth of the whole Bible teaching. Now I know what the truth is, and that it is always with us; that God is Love, and Love is always with us, and that all we have to do is to know and live the truth. I would also say, that since coming into Christian Science neither my little boy nor myself has had a drop of medicine, and though he has had several attacks of stomach trouble they were successfully met in one or two treatments, and in several instances the result was almost instantaneous. To say that I am grateful to Mrs. Eddy is to put it mildly. She deserves all the love and respect of which we are capable, and I think it is a great privilege to be a follower of hers, however humble a one, because she is such a faithful follower of Christ Jesus. I shall endeavor to show my gratitude by helping others as I have been helped.—Edith Lewis Tyler, New York, N. Y.
