It was nearly a year ago that I first became interested in...
It was nearly a year ago that I first became interested in Christian Science; that is, enough interested to seek aid from that source. Even though I had seen a great many cases of healing I was exceedingly skeptical, attributing these demonstrations to mere chance. For years I had been suffering from various nervous troubles. Three years previous to my taking Science treatments, my condition had become much more aggravated. My heart and stomach caused me great alarm, and I dared not venture out on the street alone without some sort of heart and nerve stimulant. I do not believe there was a day during those years that I did not take a great deal of medicine, but it gave me no permanent help. When I decided to try Christian Science I was in such a wretched condition that I felt I could not go on much longer without help. I went to a Christian Science practitioner, and through her knowledge of the truth, together with the reading of Science and Health and attending the Wednesday evening meetings, I gained slowly but surely. I took treatments for four weeks, first discarding all medicine and material aid, nor have I used anything of that nature since. I am now in better health than I have been for years. I cannot begin to tell all the blessings I have received through this wonderful truth, in business matters as well as physically and spiritually.—Glendolen T. Bens, Berkeley, Cal.
