When Christian Science first came to me, more than two...
When Christian Science first came to me, more than two years ago, I was suffering from a severe attack of lung trouble, besides having rheumatic trouble. I seemed a mere skeleton trying to walk. I had been sick for more than ten months, and under a doctor's care all of the time. Two of the best physicians in the community attended me, and they advised me to try a higher altitude, as they said I could not live long at best and could not stand this climate. I also wrote to a specialist in Chicago, and took treatment of him, but found no relief. I had a bad cough, with asthmatic trouble, and could hardly talk. My home doctors said that one of my lungs was gone and the other badly affected. Thanks be to God, at that time a dear friend, seeing my need, told me of what has been more than all the world to me that is Christian Science. He told me how I could be healed, gave me some Sentinels to read, and told me to see a practitioner. I did so, and was healed in three treatments, so that in two weeks from the first treatment I went to work. I have had perfect health ever since, and to-day I weigh one hundred and seventy-five pounds. There has not been any medicine used in our house since my healing.
I cannot in words express my love to God and my gratitude to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the many blessings we have received by the study of her blessed book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
Zebedee M. Hindsman, Hocking, Ia.
