Like a great many others, I can say that all I am and...
Like a great many others, I can say that all I am and all I have I owe to dear Mrs. Eddy's teachings of Christian Science. When there seemed to be no hope for me in materia medica, my sister wrote me to try Christian Science, sending the address of a practitioner in Los Angeles. I wrote to the practitioner, and in a few days I was a changed woman. This healing was of the mental conditions, as none of the physical ailments were healed at that time. It was a fulfilling of the Scripture, "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee." The practitioner told me to study the Bible and Science and Health every day, and try to live what I learned from them. This was over ten years ago, and I have tried to follow faithfully the advice given. I have never doubted, or thought of giving up this blessed teaching, for it has brought me through what seemed "the valley of the shadow of death," and trials and tribulations that only the understanding of God omnipotent could overcome. The most of my many ills have disappeared ; one by one they dropped away, and their going was so quiet that I never knew when they departed. My past life, with its weight of years and troubles, has ceased to be a reality to me ; it seems but a troubled dream, and I am growing into
The sense of life that knows no death,
The life that maketh all things new.
