It is with great pleasure that I give my testimony, that I may tell to the world what Christian Science has done for me. I came to Christian Science as a last resort, seeking some means of escape from what seemed sure death, as my doctor, after having attended me constantly for three months with all the skill of a trained physician, found he could not cure me of my many ailments. He told my devoted wife and family that I ought to be moved to a milder climate, to die as comfortably as conditions would allow. I was taken ill with a high fever, and had kidney disease in an advanced form. Besides this, mental trouble threatened me on account of a terrible trial. I then was treated in Christian Science, as taught by Mrs. Eddy, and after two treatments I was entirely healed, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Christian Science made a new man of me, and ten days after I had taken up Science and Health I went to my work, working twelve hours each day in one hundred and ten degrees of heat, and astonishing every one who knew of my serious illness. People think my healing most wonderful, and come to me to hear for themselves something about Christian Science. I hope this testimony will be the means of bringing health and happiness to many homes, as it has to ours. I feel very grateful for Science and Health, for the understanding of Truth as taught by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
