I write in loving gratitude for the peace that Christian Science has brought me. After seven years of suffering. from very severe stomach and bowel trouble, more than half of which time I was confined to my bed, I was healed through Christian Science. I had been treated by some of the most prominent physicians of Los Angeles, also of the East, but at the end of seven years found myself myself no better. The doctors had been unable to agree as to the nature of the disease, but they all said that an operation was the only thing which they thought would help me, if I could live through it. To this I would not consent, and as time went on the attacks became more frequent and severe, and the fainting spells which accompanied them were of longer duration. Such being the case, I was filled with constant fear.
When Christian Science was presented to me, I thought I had but a short time to live, and I grasped at it with the hope that I might receive some help. During the first month's treatment I gained rapidly. Soon after this, however, I seemed to fall back lower than I had ever been before; but after a night when the shadows seemed to be Christ, Truth, had come to me, and I knew I was healed. Two years have passed, and I find myself better in every way than I have ever been before. There have been many demonstrations of the truth in our home. My father was healed in five treatments of severe rheumatic trouble. For this and many other blessings I am deeply grateful, but while the physical healing has meant much, the knowledge of God which I have gained as an ever-present help, means much more to me.
Mrs. Ada M. Howard, Los Angeles, Cal.
