I feel that I should no longer refrain from expressing...
I feel that I should no longer refrain from expressing in some measure, through our periodicals, my gratitude to God and to our dear Leader for what Christian Science has done for me and my home. When I began to study Christian Science, about ten years ago, it was from an old edition of Science and Health, and as I read I would compare its teachings with the sayings and teachings of Jesus. I always found that it was just the same as what he taught, and I then would rejoice. Through this experience, and that of my husband, I realized that Christian Science is the truth, and that I did not need material remedies any longer. I have never resorted to them in any way since that time. I also found through this study I had been healed of rheumatic trouble, with which I had suffered a great deal from childhood, but which has never since returned. I have had many demonstrations, one of which was painless childbirth, soon after I came to Christian Science; but that for which I am most thankful is the spiritual uplifting, the realization of that peace which passeth all human understanding. My earnest desire is to gain more of that understanding and love which has enabled our dear Leader to be tried as by fire, and not be harmed. I realize more and more how she has been protected all the way by divine Love. I am very grateful for having been tenderly helped over the rough places, on my way from "sense to Soul."—Mrs. Nora Burdick, Bad Axe, Mich.
