I had a most beautiful demonstration at the birth of my little boy, now just three years old. Fear seemed to take hold of me at the outset, although I had found great comfort and help in Christian Science, physically and mentally, and I clung to it steadfastly. My husband did not oppose Science, although sometimes he would suggest material remedies, but he was kind and willing that I should have the help I wanted. I had before been treated by a practitioner in Mobile, and I wrote again asking for help. Obstinate bowel and stomach trouble was overcome and I could eat without any all effects. One Sunday I went out in a boat with my husband and nurse, and on returning baby was born in a half hour. He was a fine child, and has always been healthy. On the fifth day after his birth my elder son was taken sick very suddenly, and became so ill during the night we thought he would pass on. About four o'clock in the morning he seemed to be beyond all help. I went to my room and tried earnestly to realize that God is the only Life. My son then improved very quickly, showing the power of Truth. A baby girl was born last year. I had present treatment, and this was a very beautiful demonstration.
I have had many demonstrations of the power of Truth, through Christian Science; of supply in the midst of poverty, and our circumstances have been steadily improving, Grateful as I am for the physical comfort and help, I am still more so for the better understanding of God and the Scriptures which has come through Christian Science. I am grateful for the higher and clearer outlook on life. I could hardly read and write when Christian Science found me, and this blessed truth has given me what education I have. I thank God for our Leader, Mrs. Eddy.—Mrs. G. A. Engblom, Biloxi, Miss.
