Christian Scientists do not proselyte

Seattle (Wash.) Times

Christian Scientists do not proselyte. They ask no one to join their Church. The Church has no money-getting schemes. All people who come into Christian Science come in because the gospel of Jesus Christ is made practical to their every-day needs, bringing to them health, happiness, and rest. "The kingdom of heaven is at hand." Christian Science has made us to understand the Bible; and to understand the Bible aright is to be able to heal the sick man of his diseases and the wicked man of his sins. Christian Scientists are willing to let judgment of their faith in the divinity and leadership of Jesus Christ rest in the works done in his name,—on a record of unnumbered thousands healed from sin and disease. ... It is a fact that could be proven, if necessary, that every disease known to material medica has yielded to the benign influence of Christian Science treatment, which is the prayer of understanding that Jesus taught and which heals both sin and disease. Then why not give God the glory for theses good works done in answer to Christian Science prayer, and not ascribe them to Beelzebub?
