Words of Appreciation

[THE following letter to Mrs. Eddy gives evidence of such keen perception of the lesson to be learned from her recent article, "Personal Contagion," and of such true appreciation of her leadership, that we are glad to give it a conspicuous place in this issue.—EDITOR.]

Philadelphia, Pa., July 13, 1906. Beloved Leader:—Your loving words in the last Sentinel—if heeded—mean deliverance and salvation for your followers.

I have long cherished a message you once sent me at a time when I felt that I must see you and talk with you. It healed me of the belief. It was this: "Years ago, I and the material world parted. I Preserve this distance only in matter. In spirit I am coming nearer to you and to all with unseen presence, truth, and love."

Patiently and tenderly you are showing us the indispensability of obedience. Your words teach us how to be "with you" in the truest and best sense.

Could we receive all that you yearn to impart to us, we would indeed be blessed.

Faithfully,
Albert E. Miller.
