In my opinion, the most wonderful healing that has been experienced by me since I became a student of Christian Science, as taught by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, was my healing of eczema some two years or more ago. From my earliest childhood I had been doctored for this disease. In my young boyhood I was under the doctor's care for it, and and to my inquiry of my mother why they did not give me treatment which would cure me, I was informed that they had tried from my birth to have me cured and to no avail. My condition was one of continual annoyance and suffering, and I could indulge in but few of the pastimes common to boys and young men because of my physical bondage to this taskmaster. Before coming into Science, and all during my more mature years, it was necessary for me to resort to special appliances in order to secure even a small amount of rest at night. For nearly fifty years I was in bondage to a disease which medicine had tried in vain to cure oe alleviate. My suffering was great, and my humiliation was even greater than my physical annoyance, when through forgetfulness I would give evidence of my trouble.
In a constant search for health I employed possibly fifty different physicians in as many years, in my effort to be cured. I tried every remedy I ever heard of, but secured no relief of any except a temporary character, until about three years ago, when I was attracted to Christian Science and began to take treatment for other troubles with which I was then afflicted. While taking treatment for rheumatism, sciatica, and lumbago, of which I was subsequently cured, I was astonished to find that the eczema was becoming less noticeable. In a short time it completely disappeared.
To me this was the most wonderful of the many benefits secured to me by turning to Christian Science. I had frequently been pronounced incurable, and believed myself to be so.—J. E. Robinson, D.D.S., Columbus, O.
