Twenty-two years ago, while playing, I slipped, fell, and injured my spine. From that time on I was a sickly, miserable creature. A number of skilful physicians were called upon, and each one in turn would shake his head and remark, "Crippled for life," At last a female physician said I must go to an institute and be placed in a plaster cast. That I positively refused to do. No words can describe the days, months, and years of torture I endured. My clothes had to be suspended from my suspended from my shoulders, on account of three abscesses at the end of the spine.
Finally, when nothing but despair was left, some one suggested Christian Science. I demurred for a while, but finally consented to take treatment. A practitioner was sent for immediately, treatment given, and in a few hours I was downstairs in the parlor. Next day I went to the practitioner, and walked a distance of over two miles, without any bad effect whatever. The following day I was not so well, and through the influence of friends I discharged the practitioner. I however held firmly to Science and Health, never taking one drop of medicine, and the healing was almost instantaneous. I wish to add that in the nineteen years I have been in Science, the truth as revealed in Science and Health has been my only helper.
God grant that others may be blessed through this testimony testimony of my wonderful healing. My blessings are too numerous to mention. My family rejoice with me, and are ever grateful to God, and to dear Mrs. Eddy, for the many blessings we have received through this wonderful truth.
