With sincere gratitude for what Christian Science has...
[Translated from the German.]
With sincere gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me and my family, I send in this testimony. I had been an invalid for eight years afflicted with several diseases. some of which were appendicitis, neuralgia, and floating kidney. I was so troubled with a cough that I could not sleep, and had night sweats. I had taken many medicines, but found not relief. I had the best physicians, and had two operations without finding help. Every one thought that I would never get well. At that time friend advised me to try Christian Science. I answered that I would try nothing more, because I believed there was no help for me, but the following evening I went to see a Christian Scientist. It was quite a task for me to get there, because I was so weak. but after the first treatment I felt easier, and when I reached home I was hungry and ate something, and I slept well that night. In the morning I was able to do my housework and was not even tired. When the Scientist told me to get a copy of Science and Health. I answered her that I could not read English, but she said I could learn to do so, for God is wisdom. At first I could not understand it, but I continued reading until I did.
Words fail to express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, who has opened the Bible to us and has shown us what our heavenly Father can do for His children.
