About two years ago, after many years of healthy activity. I found myself suddenly broken down,—loss of vitality, loss of appetite, every indication of old age,—and I felt my life-work finished. I had seen and known a good deal of the healing that is done in Christian Science, and had read the text-book, but serious conditions seemed to develop suddenly, and as there was no practitioner within many miles, and I did not feel that I had sufficient understanding to handle the case for myself, physician was sent for upon the urgent request of friends. After a very short time I decided to have Christian Science treatment, dismissed the physician and requested a Christian Scientist to take the case. My recovery was rapid and complete, and for more than two years I have been able to work about my farm daily. My wife has also received great benefit from Christian Science. In both cases nearly all the treatment has been absent. We find the daily study of the Lesson-Sermons of great benefit, and are very grateful for all that Christian Science is doing and has done for us.
