For twelve years I suffered from what physicians diagnosed as stomach and heart trouble. During this time I was treated by eight of our leading physicians, without receiving permanent benefit; in fact I was constantly getting worse. I also took two weeks' treatment from a so-called mind-curist with no benefit. The last six months before trying Christian Science I was put upon an extremely limited diet. My efforts to find relief cost me many hundreds of dollars without any permanent benefit, and all my friends had given up hope of ever seeing me well again.

When Christian Science was brought to my attention I had little or no faith in it, but consented to make treatment. I was told to eat anything I wished and that it would not hurt me, and this proved to be true. My first treatment helped me so much, I felt like a new man, but I continued to take treatment one week, when I was perfectly healed. The cost was very trifling. I bought "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and commenced to study it. My gratitude is unbounded for the benefits I received, both physical and spiritual. I am grateful to God for giving us a Leader who was so spiritually endowed as to demonstrate this great truth for us in Christ's way. It has given me great joy the past four years to be able to help others, through the understanding gained in Christian Science.
