Christmas for the Children

Methinks the loving parents and guardians of youth ofttimes query: How shall we cheer the children's Christmas and profit them withal?

The following letter from the Clerk of First Church of Christ, Scientist, at Manchester, England, is indeed interesting.

"The sick are healed"

In view of the practically admitted futility of medical treatment for certain diseases, it is not amiss to call attention to the fact that testimony is constantly accumulating which proves that Christian Science is healing all manner of so-called incurable diseases, also that tuberculosis is included in the list of ills for the cure of which many are successfully turning to this practical application of the Master's gospel.

Letters to our Leader

Tombstone, Ariz.

To tell of the manifold benefits which have come to me through the study of Science and Health would take up too much space, but I would like to testify to one case of healing which illustrates the power of divine Love to accomplish what surgery and mechanical appliances failed to do.
For thirty-five years I was a sufferer from nasal catarrh, caused by taking calomel during a siege of diphtheria when about six years of age.
I have long had a desire to tell of the wonderful healing I have experienced through Christian Science treatment.
For about five years I was afflicted with sciatic rheumatism, in such a severe form that my body was drawn out of shape.

I am a willing witness to the healing power of Christian Science,...

I am a willing witness to the healing power of Christian Science, having had a lifetime's battle with disease and medical experiments.
I have for several years enjoyed the testimonies given by others, and they have afforded me so much comfort and encouragement that I feel it would be ungrateful to be silent any longer.
I came to Christian Science for the spiritual healing, and with the help of the Bible, Science and Health, and of a practitioner, I have been brought out of darkness into light.
In the latter part of January, 1905, after retiring about 10 p.
I gratefully acknowledge and cheerfully bear testimony to the manifold benefits through Christian Science.
For about nine years of my life I was a sufferer from rheumatism.
In the midst of seemingly insurmountable troubles, we are brought nearer to God than ever before, and the bitter tear often brings with it gratitude for the obstacles which we all have to rise above, proving that the near and active truth is bringing us into the kingdom of heaven.
