I have been benefited so much by Christian Science that I feel it a duty as well as a pleasure to give my testimony. After years of acquaintance with materia medica, I have found that Christian Science treatment affords me more reliable protection from physical maladies, while it brings, at the same time, health and peace of mind, which is of even greater importance. It is over three years since I began in Christian Science. When it found me I had been an invalid for two years, to confined to bed but unable to attend to all my household duties. My trouble was with the lungs and with my nerves, which made me very weak in body and mind. My Bible was laid away for almost two years, through the belief that I did not dare to read. I tried several doctors and different kinds of medicine. Failing to get relief, or only for a short time, I turned to Christian Science for help. I have not taken any medicine since, and never expect to do so again. I give thanks to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for all the good I have received. I am alone in Science in my home, but I study the Lesson-Sermon daily, and I find my path much easier. Our home is now a home of more peace. I teach my children about God, and they are much healthier than they used to be. They very seldom let a day pass without repeating the scientific statement of being and the Lord's Prayer.
