I feel impelled to write and let others know what the truth is doing for us. I have been following Christian Science for about nine years and the way is growing brighter and brighter. I have never lived where I could have the privilege of church services, and for the past three years have been deprived of the society of Christian Scientists, yet I have our text-book and most of our Leader's other writings. I take the Sentinel and Quarterly, and am a member of The Mother Church. If I am ever tempted to feel a little lonely, I strive to realize that God is here and He is all, and then there comes the peace which passeth all understanding, and I am satisfied.

Four years ago, when my little boy was born, the birth was painless. He is a healthy, happy little fellow, and when error seems to touch him, he yields readily to Truth. Last summer he was taken suddenly with a severe pain in his back, and by night he could not move without great distress. I treated him, but he seemed to grow worse, crying out with pain whenever we touched him. I then wrote to a practitioner in St. Paul, but two days passed without a reply. On Friday morning our little boy seemed to be very near the dark valley. He did not know us, and appeared to be on the verge of convulsions. His papa felt that something must be done, for we did not even know whether the practitioner had received our appeal for help, yet I knew that the great Physician had heard my prayer, and I clung close to Him. Isaiah, 41: 10 was a great help. I read one beautiful promise after another, until fear died away and we knew that Truth had triumphed. In less than an hour the child spoke to me and asked for his sister and his picture-book. In two hours he was up and dressed, and before night we received word that the practitioner was treating him. He could then walk, and the terrible pain and swelling in his neck and shoulder were all gone. This had been so bad that he could not move his head or bear to let us touch him.

Last fall it was said that I was working too hard; every one who came in told me I looked sick, and that I must take a rest. One day I seemed to be overcome, and I went to bed, but I tried to realize the truth. I kept on, getting up and lying down again, for three days. On the third afternoon I was lying down, reading the Sentinel, when I read the demonstration that a dear sister had made while reading the words from our text-book on page 243 (lines 4 to 8), and I knew they were true. As I committed them to memory I was healed. I arose and went about my household duties, and when the children came home at night they said I was better. I told them I was well, and repeated to them the words which had conveyed the healing to my consciousness.
