Through the understanding that God is divine Love and...
Through the understanding that God is divine Love and ever ready to meet all human needs, many blessings have come to me. I was taught from infancy in a strict orthodox church by a devoted mother and teachers. During the past few years, however, I was not fully satisfied with my church, feeling that it lacked the spirituality that God would have among us. I had visited other churches, but with the same results. I had practically never heard of Christian Science.
A few months ago I came to Chicago, met some Scientists, became deeply interested in the study of Science, and soon realized it was that for which I had hungered. I felt that I had found the Christianity which satisfied my wants. I had worn glasses off and on ever since I was eleven years old, but discarded them as soon as I became interested in Science. I was healed of inherited catarrh. My mother, sisters, and brothers soon took up this study, and our home is one of harmony and happiness.
I am thankful to God for these teachings, which are made clear to us by one so unselfish that divine Love, through her, has lighted the way for all humanity. I am not as grateful as I should be for all I have received, but my one desire is that I may be worthy to be called a true Christian Scientist.
