I am very glad to have the opportunity of telling all who may see this testimony of what Christian Science has done for me. Physically, I have been healed of diseases too distasteful to remember and almost too numerous to mention. I will speak of some of them, however, with a desire to help others.

I was ushered into this existence heir to nearly every ill that flesh can inherit, and at the time I began Christian Science treatment I was so affected by those diseases peculiar to the feminine sex that I could not walk a block in comfort; I could not stand five minutes with ease; I can scarcely remember an hour free from the backache, and I had not walked up a flight of stairs in years without painful, often serious, results. One of the portions of the Adamic inheritance which earliest came to me was a kidney and bladder trouble, which made my whole life a burden, for the attacks came on with the slightest exertion, cold, or anxiety, and often lasted for weeks. After marriage this developed into a chronic urethritis, from which I suffered untold agony. It is needless to say that my general health was deplorable, and after the birth of my babe I became a physical wreck, spending most of my time and means wandering from place to place, from one doctor to another, in search of relief. The relief was only temporary, but the memory of the kindness and courtesy of these attendants will remain with me always, as it was more helpful than any of their medicines.

During the past ten years I think I have sought the aid of nearly every known material remedy, such as electricity and many kinds of hygienic routine, including baths and massage, and the daily use of a stomach pump was also included in this routine. I went through two painful, serious, and expensive operations successively for the same purpose. Both of these the surgeons conceded were failures, and a noted specialist told me several months later that they had been a positive injury to me, but advised me to have it done again. I did not know anything else to do, and was considering the third operation, when I was told of Christian Science, and as a "last hope" I was persuaded to try the treatment.
