By the advice of a friend, a gentleman called upon a practitioner saying he would like Christian Science treatment; he had had rheumatism for a long time in his arms. He bent his head forward and with great difficulty raised both hands to his head and removed his hat. He said if he could be relieved it would mean four dollars a day to him. A treatment was given to him after telling him something of Christian Science and of Mrs. Eddy, its Discoverer and Founder; also of her remarkable healing.

When he left the office, without thinking he took his hat up with one hand and placed it on his head, and walked out; when outside he thought of what he had done, came back, and asked if it had been observed. Then to show he was healed, he removed the hat from his head and replaced it with either hand with perfect ease, and said, "I couldn't do that when I came in here."

He soon had work at $4. 50 per day. This was over a year ago.
