When our attention was first called to Christian Science...
When our attention was first called to Christian Science we were in a critical situation. My sister, who was singing in the revival services, was entertained in the family of a Christian Scientist, and while there she heard of Science. Soon after this my mother was restored to health after our physician had pronounced her case hopeless, and that she had only a short time to live. I immediately placed myself under treatment. At that time my stomach seemed in such a diseased condition, that my diet was very plain and scant and my suffering from stomach trouble, nervous headaches, and neuralgia, was at times almost unbearable. It was a time of rejoicing when, soon after taking treatment, I could eat a reasonable amount of any kind of food I wished.
We are grateful to our practitioner for his help and instruction, and to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader, for making known to the world the glorious gospel of salvation from all error, but we are most grateful to our heavenly Father.—Edith S. Griswold, Greensburg, Ind.
